universities, the nightlife can sometimes feels like a
never-ending kegger at a frat house. But if you look

The biggest drawback to Boston is that the city is
spread out and there is no real center for the action.
Dance clubs, bars and live music venues are spread out
across the city. Luckily, Boston has a great subway
and bus system to get around by.
Cambridge, home to Harvard University and MIT, is a
great neighborhood to wax philosophy over pints in one
of the many bars that are situated between the cafes
and bookstores.
In Kenmore Square, where Commonwealth Avenue, Beacon
Street and Brookline Avenue meet, there are a plethora
of sports bars, live music venues and restaurants.
This neighborhood is Boston University territory and
nights here can get very lively.
If you are looking to avoid the college-age crowd,
there are plenty of good nightspots in Boston's
financial district which is mostly populated by
well-to-do twenty-somethings. The bars here are more
expensive but you greatly reduce the chances of
someone puking on your shoes.
Boston's theater district is the place to find a more
artistic-flavored nightlife. Offbeat plays, funky
galleries and late-night dance clubs make for an
interesting evening in this part of the city.
