The musical heritage of Memphis dominates the city's
nightlife. Here is the birthplace of two of America's
true art forms - blues and rock 'n' roll. Elvis
thought Memphis was fit for a king and so he built
Graceland here. B.B. King also built his legendary
nightclub here. If you don't like live music, then you
should leave Memphis.

The famous Beale Street is where to find most of the
action. Tourists and locals alike make up the scene
here. Count on seeing some great blues music and
drinking some strong drinks. Bars stay open until 5
a.m. in Memphis and drinks and cover charges are
fairly reasonable.
Once you've had your fill of the touristy Beale
Street, you might want to check out some of the other
happening spots in Memphis. Midtown has a fair amount
of nightclubs and bars, though they are still mostly
blues clubs as well. Overton Square has a more upbeat
feel and offers a little more diversity to Memphis'
blues-heavy nightlife.
