There are few cities that are as widespread as
Phoenix. Urban sprawl has turned what was three
cities, Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tempe, into one giant
suburbpolis under the desert sun. The city is a
favorite destination for retirees in search of dry
climates, but that doesn't mean the city is without
its share of youthful partying.

Considering it is the biggest city in Arizona,
downtown Phoenix doesn't have a lot to offer in terms
of dance clubs and music venues. Another setback to
the city is that there isn't a central club district.
There are plenty of sports bars in Phoenix and the
health spa resorts have a few favorite watering holes
for golfers and tourists.
The more wealthy neighborhoods of the Phoenix area are
located in Scottsdale and the clubs, restaurants and
bars here reflect the town's cash cow. Young
professionals make up the scene here and although
dress codes aren't required, you'll feel out of place
without dressing up a little.
Tempe nightlife is geared toward the students of
Arizona State University. Like all college towns,
there are great dive bars and cool music venues to
dance at or see live music.
